Dr. Larry McKenna, founder of S.O.L.O (Save Our Leatherback Operation) came directly from the jungles of Papua, Indonesia to Montreal, Canada to recognize and thank in person Ronald T. Hand, President & CEO of the Amphibico Group Inc. for his continued and unwavering support in the area of conservationist efforts in saving Leatherback turtles from possible extinction.

Ron was the first supporter of this volunteer supported organization that has tirelessly been doing whatever it takes, led by Dr. Larry Mckenna, to bring these majestic turtles from the brink of extinction. In a sense, this organization is not letting nature take its true course, but assisting in the process, since the turtles possible extinction comes down to human interference as can be seen in many other areas in nature.
