HD Amphibicam Pro Video Housing

This ground breaking project had been the most ambitious ever undertaken by Amphibico. It had involved more than three years of development with our research and development team in 1996 to 1999, this was to ensure that the innovation and functionality this housing represented would define not only the housings itself, but the broader scope of what was to evolve in our technology moving forward.

Our Optical and Electronics Engineers perfected some of the most technologically innovative features ever conceived in the videography industry. Aspheric and Binary technology had been incorporated in our lens system, delivering wide angle, zoom-through, zero distortion imaging assembled from a combination of glass and a special plastic that absorbed no moisture. These same technologically-advanced features had been designed in our high-resolution electronic viewfinder as well, providing the optically enhanced images from oblique angles of view. The electronics were the most sophisticated ever developed for underwater video, providing 16 camera and lens controls at your fingertips...and all designed with the diver and videographer in mind.

Advanced Functions

BARS: Push "ENTER" (2) and "STATUS" (3) simultaneously on the Menu Panel.
SCENE FILES (Left Front Grip, Button #3): LED will flash once for scene #1, twice for scene #2, etc. up to 5 scenes.
SHIFT key function on left front trigger, if pulled simultaneously with:
A) White Balance (W/B): Becomes Black Balance control
B) Menu Display ENTER Button (2): Becomes VTR playback mode. VTR playback functions, right side grips buttons: T: Play, W: Stop, ND: Rewind, CC: Fast Forward
C) ND Button: Activate Manual Shutter - Once Manual Shutter activated: SHIFT Key with CC Button enables Shutter Speed selection.
D) VTR Record (Cam) Trigger: 7 Seconds Review.
E) W Button: Activate D5600K
